This is a Boat tournament. Catches by any fisherman on the boat are submitted as part of the boat. Winnings will be paid to the boat. Entry cost will be $300 per boat for one division. Additional divisions are $100 each. Up to 4 fishermen per boat.
There are three divisions:
Inshore with species of Redfish and Snook.
Offshore with Grouper and American Red Snapper.
Tarpon only division based in leadered releases.
To win in any division you must be pre-registered for that division.
Catches will be judged by largest agrerate size in inches of both species.
Example: Your largest Redfish caught is 24". Your largest Snook submitted is 32". Your total score would be 56 inches.
Winner must submit at least one of each species. Submittions will be made via our mobile app. A photo will be taken at the time of the catch through the app of the fish on the measuring board provided. The submitter will enter:

Upon submission, the team of judges will evaluate the submission and verify or update the submission. Winner will be determined by total inches of the 2 varified fish submissions.
Will be judged by agregate weight of the largest 2 Grouper and 2 American Red Snapper in inches caught by the boat and weighed at the dock. Winning boat must submit two of each species.
A photo of the fish will be taken as “leadered” alongside the boat. Using the App, the submitter will enter:

The winner will be determined by the highest number of qualified and verified “leadered” releases.
A TWT is an optional side competition held alongside the main tournament. All fish must be caught during official tournament hours and follow the same rules as the division, but only anglers who opt in before the begining of the tournament are eligible for TWT prizes. The winner of the division who has also entered the TWT will be awarded 90% of the total pot of those who enter the TWT.
Because the 1st US Volunteer Cavalry Regiment - Rough Riders Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charity, winners must complete a W9 before a check will be awarded.
Tournament Authority
This tournament is hosted by the 1st U.S. Volunteer Cavalry Regiment – Rough Riders, Inc., a Tampa-based nonprofit organization. All rules interpretations, scoring decisions, and disputes are final as determined by the Rough Riders Fishing Tournament Committee.
